Tickets for this event will be available on-site.

Current Del Mar Water Polo Club player Ryder Roberts will be participating on the National Junior Team.  In addition, several former DMWPC players will be participating on their collegiate teams.

Team USA will welcome two of the top teams in the world when Hungary and Croatia visit for an exhibition series, including a live televised match on the NBC Sports Network. The squad will also host Canada and Brazil as part of the FINA World League Prelims, and athletes will return to their club teams for a weekend of games at the 2012 Fisher Cup. All the action begins with the FINA World League Prelims, set for May 10-13 at Foothill High School in Tustin, California. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased by clicking here.

From there, the action heads south, to the University of California-San Diego on May 19 and 20 for the annual Fisher Cup, named for the late Donald Fisher, founder of The Gap, and USA Water Polo benefactor. National Team athletes return to their clubs including the likes of the New York Athletic Club, The Olympic Club and the Newport Water Polo Foundation. Tickets for this event will be available on-site.

Team USA has saved the best for last when Hungary and Croatia visit for common training and an exhibition series in late May and early June. Team USA will host Croatia on May 26 at 6pm at Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, CA and then return the following day on May 27 to take on Hungary, in a rematch of the 2008 Olympic Games Gold Medal final, at 12pm. The May 27 match will also be broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network. The action at Newport Harbor High School will conclude on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, when Hungary and Croatia meet at 5pm. Tickets for all USA matches at Newport Harbor High School cost $40 for adults and $30 for children and seniors. Pre-sale tickets are available at a reduced price, by clicking here.

The exhibition series closes out with a change of venues. Team USA will battle Hungary once more on May 31 at 7pm at UCLA’s Spieker Aquatics Center in Los Angeles, CA. The United States then closes out competition with a match against Croatia on June 1 at 7pm at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center in Pasadena, CA. USA Water Polo is implementing a Birthdate Age Verification requirement for all athletes participating in National and Championship Events.  This will be a ONE-TIME charge of $5.00 paid online through TC logiQ’s secure website.  Gold Athletes members MUST complete the verification  process prior to participating in any National Championship Event–including the Pacific Southwest Junior Olympic Qualification Tournament May 29-June 3.   The process can take up to 7 days–Please begin this process now.  Clubs will not be able to verify and submit rosters until all athletes birth dates have been successfully verified.

Instructions

1. Click here to sign into your USA Water Polo membership account
2. Scroll down your account homepage and click on the blue “Birth Date Verification” button
3. You will be redirected to the TC logiQ secure web site (you may also click directly on the TC logiQ link)
4. Follow the directions provided on screen to validate your USAWP membership.
5. Once your membership has been validated, proceed as a “new applicant” to create an account with TC logiQ
6. Please fill out the required information for the member and pay the $5.00 fee.
7. You will receive an email when your birth date has successfully been verified – may take up to 7 days to process. The verification will also show in your USAWP member account.

You will have to complete the verification process for EACH child. A unique username is required, so we recommend the use of your USA Water Polo member ID as the username so you can create an account for each child. Keep in mind this process only needs to be completed once, you should not need to login again.

Ryder Roberts made the top 14 athletes born in 1993 or later and will compete to travel with National Junior Team this summer.
Kevin Levine, Bryce Hoerman and Jordan Colina were selected to go to the 12th Grade and Under National Team Selection Camp.
Austin Rone and Joe Cleary were selected to go to the 10th Grade and Under National Team Selection Camp.
Dakota Salas Rogalski was selected to go to the 8th Grade and Under National Team Selection Camp.
In addition, Bryce Hoerman was selected as the top player in the entire 10th Grade Pacific ODP Regional Championships and Coach Jake Hodgens was selected as the top coach for the entire 8th Grade Pacific ODP Regional Championships.
