Bojan was born and raised in Rijeka, Croatia. He started playing water polo at the age 6. He player for his local club WPC Opatija until age 12, when he was recruited by Water Polo Club Primorje as the top goal scorer in his age group in the country. During his time in Primorje, the youth teams he was a part of continuously maintained to be amongst the best teams in the country, and he won several medals with the Croatian Junior National Team.
Bojan has been living in United States since 2010. He played at West Valley College for 2 years, before transferring to University of California, Irvine. While at West Valley College he was a member of a team that captured one state and 2 conference championships.
At UC Irvine:
- Led UCI in scoring as a junior with 63 goals
- Ranked sixth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with an average of 2.63 goals per game
- Earned All-America honorable mention honors
In 2014, Bojan was a member of the New York Athletic Club water polo team, wining several tournaments at the Masters level.
He started his career at Del Mar WPC in 2015 as the 16U assistant coach, Assisting Brett Ormsby in winning Second place at 2015 Junior Olympics Platinum Division.
In 2016, he was head coach of 12U boys, which he led to win First place in 2016 Junior Olympics Gold Division.
